New School Wing Named after Chris

September 04th, 2008 | Category: Chris Eccleston, News

Not surprising really, he has a theater named after him now a wing at a school…

Source: Pamela Welsh, Salford Advertiser

The pupils had substantial involvement in picking the color scheme for the new building, as well as the names for the school wings - all based on celebrities, some of them Salfordian. There is the Pankhurst wing and the Morley wing, after suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst and rugby player Adrian Morley, as well as wings named after Christopher Eccleston, LS Lowry, Harold Riley and Charles Halle. Little Hulton Member Plays Rose's Theme On The Violin

September 03rd, 2008 | Category: Chris Eccleston, Little Hulton, Music

Adele is a Little Hulton member majoring in Music at college. She has shared a few of her pieces from the movie Jude and from Doctor Who's Season 2 episode, The Impossible Planet. I asked her if she could try Rose's Theme which appeared in Season 1, 2 and 4 of Doctor Who. She did, and in about a week she had prepared this piece which she played on her violin for me and other Little Hulton members…

Adele, as I have told you MANY times before, you play beautifully, and every time you play I get tears in my eyes. Keep up the FANTASTIC sounds!

If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.- Shinichi Suzuki

Want to hear more of Adele's Music?

Hope you see you at Little Hulton!

Enjoy,
