Major Henry West: Most Underrated Villains #3
I didn't see Major Henry West as a villain. I saw him as a leader trying to survive and save the human race(remind you of someone?). He was a far
more a villain in films like Othello, The Seeker: The Dark is Rising and Shallow Grave. Major Henry West was just trying to serve and protect when no one else bothered. I consider him a hero but it seems Just Press Play has ranked him this year's #3 on their Most Underrated Villains List…

A lot of bad dudes have emerged from zombie pictures over the decades. In fact, sometimes they seem to be an even larger threat than the zombies themselves (it’s almost as if there’s some sort of message they’re trying to send in these movies…). But the absolute worst of the bunch has to be Major Henry West, the deranged military leader played with just the right manic zeal by Christopher Eccleston, who unfortunately has not done a horror film since. Power hungry maniacs are nothing new to movie villains, but it takes at least five kinds of crazy to point out the elephant in the room when it comes to dystopian futures. Those of you who have seen the movie probably know what I’m talking about. Full Story

'Mass sleepwalk' launches new Amnesty film and petition against 42 days pre-charge detention… Chris Supports
Source: Amnesty.org.uk
A 'mass sleepwalk' will take place through the streets of Leeds tonight as Amnesty International launches its new film, 'Sleepwalk', heralding the next phase of the organization's campaign against UK government plans to extend detention without charge to 42 days. The film, by Oscar-shortlisted directors DarkFibre, features an exclusive new soundtrack by The Orb and a voiceover by actor Christopher Eccleston.
Amnesty is concerned that civil liberties are still under attack in the Counter-terrorism Bill and warns that people in the UK may be sleepwalking into an assault on their basic human rights. Political rumors that the plans will be dropped cannot be relied upon and the 42-day proposals must be defeated once and for all, Amnesty says.
The film accompanies a new online petition at www.protectthehuman.com/42days, urging MP's to oppose the 42 days proposal. Amnesty is specifically calling on MP's who did not support previous proposals for 90 days pre-charge detention, but did vote for 42 days in June, to oppose 42 days this time round. – Full Story
There's a real danger that people in Britain are sleepwalking into an assault on our human rights. This film is Amnesty's wake up call: we have got to stand up for our basic freedoms. – Amnesty International UK Director Kate Allen

Exclusive Interview: Jack Coleman of Heroes… Mentions of Claude

Source: BuddyTV
Buddy TV conducted an exclusive audio interview with Heroes star Jack Coleman who plays Noah Bennet also known as "Horn Rimmed Glasses". In part one of the interview, he discusses the relationship between him and Sylar. He mentions that there are big things in store for the Sylar-Bennet relationship.
In part two of the interview, Coleman answers questions concerning Claude's return, whether Coleman would like to write a Heroes episode, and what sort of power the actor would like HRG to have.
I would love for Chris [Eccleston] to come back, and I know that there was some talk about it. I think it was a combination of scheduling and location, because I know he was in England and he was working and wasn't available, then I think he got a couple of movies. I think there are just some logistical things that happen with actors that are in demand that can make it very difficult for a television series to hook them up. I don't know if he's going to be back or not. I hope he will be. I would not be surprised if he does come back at some point.

I told you I would keep you updated on any information regarding the film The Happiness Salesman. After the production stills came out I e-mailed Kaos Films to try and get more details about it. Olivia from Kaos Films replied quickly to my inquiry and this was her reply…
Dear Vanessa,
Thank you for your interest in the Kaos Films and your inquiry.
“The Happiness Salesman” written by Steve Gomez is a winner of the British Short Screenplay Competition. It is the biggest international short screenplay competition in the world receiving over two thousand entries each year. The competition is judged by an eminent panel of judges including Kenneth Branagh, Sir Alan Parker, Nik Powell, Natascha Wharton and Stephen Woolley.
It is directed by BAFTA nominated director Krish Majumdar and stars Christopher Eccleston and Archie Panjabi. The film was shot on location in London with kind support from Arri Media, Kodak, Pinewood Studios and Technicolor. It is currently in post production and we hope to have a premier in January at BAFTA.
