Major Henry West: Most Underrated Villains #3
I didn't see Major Henry West as a villain. I saw him as a leader trying to survive and save the human race(remind you of someone?). He was a far
more a villain in films like Othello, The Seeker: The Dark is Rising and Shallow Grave. Major Henry West was just trying to serve and protect when no one else bothered. I consider him a hero but it seems Just Press Play has ranked him this year's #3 on their Most Underrated Villains List…

A lot of bad dudes have emerged from zombie pictures over the decades. In fact, sometimes they seem to be an even larger threat than the zombies themselves (it’s almost as if there’s some sort of message they’re trying to send in these movies…). But the absolute worst of the bunch has to be Major Henry West, the deranged military leader played with just the right manic zeal by Christopher Eccleston, who unfortunately has not done a horror film since. Power hungry maniacs are nothing new to movie villains, but it takes at least five kinds of crazy to point out the elephant in the room when it comes to dystopian futures. Those of you who have seen the movie probably know what I’m talking about. Full Story

Update Information on The Happiness Salesman
I told you I would keep you updated on any information regarding the film The Happiness Salesman. After the production stills came out I e-mailed Kaos Films to try and get more details about it. Olivia from Kaos Films replied quickly to my inquiry and this was her reply…
Dear Vanessa,
Thank you for your interest in the Kaos Films and your inquiry.
“The Happiness Salesman” written by Steve Gomez is a winner of the British Short Screenplay Competition. It is the biggest international short screenplay competition in the world receiving over two thousand entries each year. The competition is judged by an eminent panel of judges including Kenneth Branagh, Sir Alan Parker, Nik Powell, Natascha Wharton and Stephen Woolley.
It is directed by BAFTA nominated director Krish Majumdar and stars Christopher Eccleston and Archie Panjabi. The film was shot on location in London with kind support from Arri Media, Kodak, Pinewood Studios and Technicolor. It is currently in post production and we hope to have a premier in January at BAFTA.
Regards,
Olivia
British Academy of Film and Television Arts and has nominated Chris in films such as The Second Coming and in the television series Our Friends in the North.
I hope that sheds some light on the upcoming film The Happiness Salesman. I will keep you posted on anything new regarding the film.

Is Chris resuming his role in The Man Who Killed Don Quixote?
I was just doing some web browsing and I came across an interview with Chris in 2000 and he said after he finished filming The Others he was going to start filming in The Man Who Killed Don Quixote directed by Terry Gilliam and starring Johnny Depp. I Googled the title and found that the production of the film was was canceled completely due to several on-set mishaps. Also attached to this information was a link to an interview that just came out two days ago!
Pandora: Don Quixote rides again, says delighted Gilliam
By Alica-Azania Jarvis
Monday, 4 August 2008Ever since Johnny Depp and Terry Gilliam were forced to abandon filming on The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, eight years ago, fans have speculated about the project's recovery.
Last week they were given hope when rumors of a revival surfaced.
Now Gilliam tells me the resurrection could be closer than we think.
"As far as we're concerned, it's on," he confirms. "When Johnny's ready, we're ready. We're just talking about dates to film. Basically it all depends on his schedule but otherwise we're set. It will be next year some time, before next summer anyway."
Filming first began way back in 2000 but was blighted by an eerie sequence of accidents. Military fly-overs drowned out the dialogue, flash floods washed away the set, and then one of the film's stars, the French actor Jean Rochefort, was taken ill, having to be airlifted to hospital after suffering a hernia. Insurers decided to pull the plug, making it one of the most costly – not to say notorious – cinematic projects of all time.
In spite of a recent legal decision to award Gilliam rights to the script, he has decided to start the project afresh.
"We're going to completely reshoot it," he says. "The intervening years have taught me that I can actually write a much better film. I'm so excited it's going to get done at last."
Now the question is if this film does get off the ground will Chris be rejoining the cast? In the original filming of 2000 he had three different roles. Lets hope. The more Chris the better and as we have seen in his past he is a FANTASTIC actor who can pull of any role!
No commentsChris appearing on The Sarah Silverman Program
I first heard about Chris appearing in The Sarah Silverman Program from a member of BAD WOLF. I had to get to the bottom of it because there weren't enough details in the story. I emailed Rob Schrab, he is the maker of Robot Bastard and executive producer of the Sarah Silverman Program. This was his response…
Chris is doing a cameo in an episode of the Sarah Silverman Program this fall. He plays Brian's favorite TV hero "Dr. LaserRage."
New season starts Oct. 16th!
Spread the word!
Rob Schrab
If you haven't gotten a chance to see The Sarah Silverman Program Brian is Sarahs neighbor and friend. Brian has a boyfriend named Steve who lives with him. Brian and Steve's apartment contains many pop-culture reference favorites as placed there by Rob Schrab, one of them being Robot Bastard.
I am not sure how the episode is going to take place but my take on it is that Brian is dreaming about being in a Robot Bastard episode where he meets his hero "Dr Laser Rage."
Am I right Rob?

Eccleston Reports for G.I. Joe Duty
Source: Actress Archives
It’s being directed by Stephen Sommers who brought us the first two “Mummy” movies that starred Brendan Fraser. Playing one of the film’s main bad guys is a British actor named Christopher Eccelston who’s best known for playing the time traveling “Doctor Who” for a single season. Eccelston also had a plum part as a power-mad soldier in “28 Days Later” and made a couple of guest appearances playing a homeless man with the power of invisibility in “Heroes.” In “G.I. Joe” Eccleston will play Destro, one of the top commanders in the global terrorist organization called Cobra. Destro wears a metallic mask and has a keen military mind. In the cartoon and comic book series he also got cozy with a sexy Cobra operative called The Baroness, and since Sienna Miller is playing that character in the movie, the possibility exists that the two evil lovebirds may hook up on the big screen.
