My full review

i tried to avoid major spoilers in there.

But what I thought of Chris Air_kiss Blush -
Quote:James McCullen/Destro (Christopher Eccleston) Plays the main villian threw out, alot I have heard complained about him not wearing his mask and with this being about "beginnings" its no surprise. I thought was played very well being a late comer to the movie after the first actor to play Destro (David Murray) had to pull out because of visa issues (but you get to see him in the beginning) character was good and strong. I have Shallow Graves on DVD in which he has a scottish accent in that and was very good, as it is in this film eccept it's much stronger then in Shallow Grave and does waver every so often (only slightly) but stays good and strong threw out. Some have complained the accent being hard to understand but for me I found it very easy (and sexy ) Should be a crime to put that man in 'mask' after disfiguring him with fire

Obviously as more see it can talk more. Overall it wasn't as bad as many have been saying.

I got all tingly at one point when I saw him Blush

J.

I'm also seeing it tomorrow so it should be fun. There's mixed reviews so far, some people saying it's the worst movie ever and others loving it. I'm just going to watch a fun movie hopefully and of course to see Chris :D

Christopher Eccleston is love.

Saw it tonight and have to say I really enjoyed it. A great, fun, movie that doesn't pretend it's anything but.
I did think this film wasn't going to be as good as it was but I was happily proved wrong. I did have a few issues with Sienna Miller as I truly do not think she can act all that well but aside from that, everyone else especially Chris was great.
Is it totally wrong that I found James McCullen/Destro utterly sexy? Shallow I know but Chris really wears a suit well. And as for his Scottish accent, I thought it was decent. I've heard people trash it but I saw no problems with it whatsoever.
I know the mask had to go on eventually but it's a true crime to disfigure a man as attractive as Destro ;)

Christopher Eccleston is love.

RE: GI JOE: The Rise of Cobra
Finally I was able to take some time out of my hectic schedule and see GI Joe last night.

It was fantastic, very upbeat and full of action. I loved the full story line with Snake Eyes and Shadowstorm, Duke, Ana and Rex and off course the McCullen/Destro legacy. Although to be honest there wasn't enough Chris for me and when
Spoiler (Click to View)
I left the theater I was thinking about how ANYONE can play McCullen/Destro now that the mask had been applied. You know they will make a sequel, probably two more like Transformers, but I don't see Chris coming back for that. We will probably see flashbacks but that is it.
All in all the movie was great and I think the people giving the bad reviews are the ones who are GI Joe freaks who want a movie that sticks exactly to the comic books and cartoons of the 80's. I just say that is boring and the movie would have been a flop if it had. Who wants to see a bunch of guys running around in camomile's suits for two hours. I like the shiny suits!

I had to go and watch an 11 pm night show because of my schedule and on my next day off I will go see it again but not so late.

Have a good night everyone!

HUG's and Chris's

Chris did look sexy and... shaggable in suit Blush The rest of the casts are awesome too. I like the Joes. The visual and sound effects are so cool! My sister even admitted that the whole movie is awesome, although at first she was reluctant to watch it with me.

Btw, Ness, how did you do the spoiler cut?

I just saw G.I. Joe, and I thought it was really entertaining!
Chris was fantastic, and soo SEXY!! That suit.. Girl_in_love

I thought Snake Eyes and Rip was brilliant as well Smile

What irretated me sometimes was the effects, and ofcourse that they ruined Chris' beautiful face!

I rather liked it, but sadly I wish Chris had done someone other then Destro.

If you're a fan, you know what happens [not giving any spoilers, sorry] so I kind of wish he was someone else.

But alas, the screen time he had [along with that accent, rawr, lol] made it worth wild.

@Marie What was wrong with the special effects? I thought they were pretty decent.
